Our client is a well-established and busy supermarket in Rundu, Namibia, with decades of experience serving the local community. They are looking for a capable and motivated Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily management and operation of the store
• Supervise and support staff across different departments of customer service
• Help maintain high standards of customer service
• Monitor stock levels, merchandising, pricing, and general store presentation
• Assist with staff scheduling, training, and performance management
• Help identify operational problems and implement practical solutions
• Support stock control, promotions, ordering, and general administrative duties
• Ensure company procedures and standards are followed
• Work closely with the Store Manager to improve overall store performance

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail, preferably in a supervisory or management position
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Good computer literacy
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility
• Organised, reliable, and comfortable working under pressure
