Job Summary
Onandjaba Village Council as established in terms of the Local Authorities Act 1992 (act No 23 of 1992) as amended is an equal opportunity employer and invites suitable qualified candidates who meet the minimum requirements to apply for the following vacant positions.
Key Responsibilities
- To implement and enforce the building activities and other related construction works in the area of council’s jurisdiction.
- To ensure adherence to council building specifications and town planning regulations.
- To monitor all building plans submitted to and check if the detailed plans submitted comply with the applicable regulations and guidelines.
- To undertake internal inspection for the compliance of the Standard Building Regulations.
Requirements
- Trade Diploma in Building Technology or Draughtsmen and Building Construction or National Diploma in Civil Engineering
- 3 years appropriate working experience in building evaluation and building control of which one (1) year should have been at the supervisory level
- Diploma in License Code C1 and C4 or an edited advantage
- Have strong reasoning ability, attention to detail but not detail bound, interpersonal skills, planning and organizing skills, ability to work independently, communication skills, computer literacy and Customer Service

N$ 134 332 – N$ 160 894 per annum
