About the Role

We are seeking proactive and motivated Concrete Supervisors to provide day-to-day construction support for the Tumas Project, with a focus on in-situ concrete, excavations, formwork, reinforced earth walls, HD bolts, QA/QC, contractor support, inspections, technical queries, site administration, and close-out documentation. The role will support safe and efficient site execution by working closely with the Construction Superintendent, contractors, and project teams while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and site housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise in-situ concrete, excavations, formwork, reinforcement, precast structures, reinforced earth walls, and HD bolts to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Perform QA/QC checks, manage hold points and ITP releases, and inspect concrete quality, installed works, and site conditions.
  • Enforce HSE management plans, ensuring compliance with OHSA Act, site regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Track project execution against time, cost, and quality targets; report delays, defects, and escalate unresolved technical queries.
  • Coordinate contractors, engineers, and client representatives; maintain technical query registers and ensure timely resolution of site issues.
  • Collect and maintain operational data, inspection records, red-line markups, and contribute to final close-out documentation.

Job Specifications

  • Civil Engineering Diploma, Trade Certificate, or equivalent qualification, with 5-10 years in concrete work in mining industry
  • Valid Code B driver’s licence
  • Strong concrete engineering knowledge including in-situ concrete, excavations, formwork, reinforcement, precast structures, reinforced earth walls, HD bolts, and QA/QC processes
  • Experience with inspections and quality records for concrete works and construction documentation
  • Ability to read and verify technical documentation including as-built drawings, red-line markups, and close-out records
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, databases, and document control systems
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to collaborate with contractors, supervisors, site teams, and engineering support staff
  • Strong focus on safety and compliance, ensuring adherence to HSE policies, housekeeping, and quality standards in mining/construction environments
  • Independent work ethic with ability to manage priorities and perform under pressure in fast-paced site conditions
  • Self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, physically fit, and flexible to work site-based hours when required
  • Civil Engineering Diploma, Trade Certificate, or equivalent qualification in concrete/civil works
