We are looking for a motivated Cover Drill Operator to join our Mining / Technical Services team.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To operate underground cover drilling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with approved drilling programmes and operational procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Operate cover drilling equipment safely and efficiently.
– Complete drilling according to required specifications.
– Monitor drilling conditions and progress.
– Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks.
– Report equipment defects and maintenance requirements.
– Assist with drill setup, movement and dismantling.
– Maintain required drilling information and good housekeeping.
– Comply with HSE requirements and report hazards or unsafe conditions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
– Grade 10 or equivalent.
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in cover drilling.
– Relevant drilling training will be advantageous.
– Underground drilling experience will be advantageous.
– Experience with underground cover drilling equipment will be advantageous.
– Ability to work safely in a physically demanding underground environment.
