Key Responsibilities

  • Inspections of premises for fitness valuation
  • Health regulations, programmes and related advice
  • Waste management and cleanness of the Town
  • Disease control and public education
  • Occupational health and Food Safety control
  • Administration of the Division

Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • A Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7) in Environmental Health/Management/Science/Public Health or equivalent qualification.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in environmental health, of which two (2) years should have been spent Supervisory Level, preferably in a local Authority/ environmental services (proof must be attached).
  • Registration as Environmental Health Practitioner with the Health Profession Council of Namibia (proof must be attached).
  • Certificate of Good Conduct not older than six months (certificate must be attached)
  • Code B Driver’s Licence

Salary

N$225 874 – N$234 999 per annum
