Job Description
Namibia Country Lodges (NCL) is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Marketing & Customer Relations Officer to join our team. The role combines marketing, guest relations, brand promotion and tourism management, and suits someone who understands both the commercial drivers of tourism and what makes a guest experience exceptional.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand Promotion
- Develop and implement creative marketing initiatives for NCL properties and tourism experiences.
- Produce social media content and run digital marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate marketing local, national and international tourism shows and promotional events.
- Raise NCL’s profile in the local and international tourism market.
- Support NCL’s presence at tourism exhibitions, trade shows and promotional events.
- Monitor tourism trends and market activity and provide recommendations.
Customer & Guest Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, tour operators, travel agents and stakeholders.
- Handle guest enquiries and feedback professionally, to encourage repeat business.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty across the guest journey.
- Represent NCL professionally and warmly at all times.
Requirements
- Grade 12.
- A tertiary qualification (certificate, diploma or degree) in Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, Public Relations, Business Management or a related field will be an advantage.
- At least two years’ experience in marketing, customer relations, tourism, hospitality or a related field.
- A valid Code 4 driver’s licence will be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including professional telephone and email etiquette.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong working knowledge of social media and efficiently what makes a guest experience exceptional.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to NCL properties and trade events across Namibia as required.
