Requirements

For Teacher E (Grade 9): A recognised 3 years tertiary teaching qualification on NQF level 6. Or An appropriate recognised 3 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 6 in relation to the school subject to be taught plus a 1 year teaching qualification. Or An appropriate recognised 3 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 6 plus a recognised trade test plus 1-year teaching qualification.

For Teacher F (Grade 8): A recognised 4-year tertiary qualification on NQF level 7. Or An appropriate recognised 4 years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 7 in relation to the school subject to be taught plus a 1 year teaching qualification. Or An appropriate recognised 4 -years tertiary non-teaching qualification (or equivalent) on NQF level 7 plus a recognised trade test plus a 1 year teaching qualification.
