Job Description

Role Summary

The Quantity Surveyor (QS) assists in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Helping to manage and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is being done to specifications.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Measuring and valuing work done on site.
  • Preparing and submitting regular financial reports and assessments.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, QS-specific software).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and calculations.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under the supervision of senior QS.
