Position: Technical Training Officer Company: Uis Tin Mining Company Pty Ltd Location: Erongo Region Reports to: Human Resource Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and analyse training needs aligned to operational requirements, risk assessments, and competency standards
- Source, compile, and update training matrices and material; ensure stakeholder commitment and adherence
- Continuously improve training material and equipment; initiate upgrades for quality and legal compliance
- Research, identify, and evaluate training service providers
- Maintain an up‑to‑date competency matrix; manage certification, re‑certification, and license validity for safety‑critical roles
- Assist in maintaining and improving safety, health, and environmental standards and practices
- Produce monthly training statistics
- Meet environmental objectives and requirements in accordance with legislation, standards, and procedures
Key Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- National Diploma or Degree in Training & Development, Human Resources Development, Metallurgy, Engineering, or Mining (advantageous)
- Certified Trainer/Assessor qualification
- Preferably 4 years’ working experience in the mining industry
- Proven experience in technical training, coaching, or competency assessment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Solid knowledge of plant equipment, processes, and maintenance practices
- Ability to interpret process flow diagrams and manuals
- Valid police clearance certificate (not older than 6 months)
