PLANNING CLERK (6-MONTH FTC)
Terminal Investment Namibia (Pty) Ltd (TIN) is a strategically positioned gateway container terminal operator located within the Port of Walvis Bay, in the coastal town of Walvis Bay, Erongo Region, Namibia. THE POSITION
The Planning Clerk is responsible for capturing, validating, organizing, and maintaining all asset-related information within the Ultimo Asset Management System. The incumbent will ensure that all equipment, subsystems, assemblies, and components are accurately represented in the system, including technical specifications, classifications, bill of materials (BOMs), spare parts information, and asset hierarchies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capture and upload equipment information into Ultimo.
- Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) within Ultimo.
- Liaise with Warehouse personnel regarding new components and spare parts.
- Verify part numbers, descriptions and specifications.
- Gather technical manuals, drawings and OEM documentation.
- Conduct data verification and validation checks.
- Maintain asset data for assigned equipment categories (STS, RTG, RS, ECH, TT, FL, Manlifts, LDVs, Infrastructure, etc.).
- Liaise with Maintenance Planners, Engineers, Supervisors and Warehouse personnel.
- Prepare regular progress reports on data population activities.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 Certificate with a minimum C symbol in Mathematics and Science.
- Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Maintenance Planning, Asset Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field will be an advantage.
- 2-5 years’ experience in maintenance planning, asset management, technical administration, engineering support, inventory management, or CMMS administration.
- Experience working with CMMS/EAM systems such as Ultimo, SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, or similar systems will be advantageous.
- Experience working with technical equipment documentation and spare parts catalogues is preferred.
- Competence working with Microsoft Office suite.
