Overall Purpose of Position
The Plant Operator – Final Concentrate and Dispatch is responsible for the safe handling, storage, loading, and dispatch of final concentrate. The role operates material-handling equipment, supports stockpile and weighbridge activities, and ensures that sampling, documentation, and shipment preparation are completed accurately and safely.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the safe handling, storage, loading, and dispatch of final concentrate.
- Operate conveyors, pumps, loading systems, and material-handling equipment safely.
- Support stockpile management and maintain orderly concentrate handling areas.
- Participate in sampling and shipment preparation activities as required.
- Complete or support weighbridge and dispatch documentation accurately.
- Maintain safe working practices and high housekeeping standards.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Grade 12 with experience in concentrate handling, storage, loading, weighbridge operations, or dispatch.
- Ability to safely operate conveyors, pumps, loading systems, and material-handling equipment.
- Experience with stockpile management is advantageous.
- Experience with sampling, documentation, and shipment preparation is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to safe material handling and housekeeping standards.
